There's nothing I love more than a sandwich. Breakfast, lunch or dinner...there's a tasty sandwich worthy of any meal.
Tonight's "dinner sandwich" was inspired by a recipe I clipped somewhere last year....probably out of a magazine in a waiting room....sorry. Staying true to my cooking style, I have modified and simplified. (Although, for a BLT, this is slightly spruced up!)
BLT
Whole Grain Wheat Loaf
8 pieces of cooked turkey bacon
1 tomato, sliced thin
6 oz of fresh mozzarella, sliced thin- approx 1/4 inch
and dark leaf lettuce (I use mixed baby greens)
1/4 cup mayo
1 T dried Basil
1 clove of garlic, pressed/minced
In a small bowl mix mayo, basil and garlic. Spread the mayo on the sliced roll and layer rest of ingredients. (I like three slices of cheese per sandwich)
Serve with your favorite salad.
