Coffee

Thank God for the goat herder in Ethiopia who discovered the effect of coffee beans.

Coffee is my morning. I dream about quiet early mornings, reading the paper and sipping my hot, creamy coffee. yum. What I put into my coffee is just as important as which brand of coffee I buy.

I try to avoid the afternoon lull by not eating refined white sugars in the morning and afternoon. This means no white sugar in my coffee.
Starting my morning off right is important. NO REFINED WHITE SUGAR. No sugary cereals, no yogurt (not even the "healthy ones"), very limited simple carbohydrates, period. I eat a variety of complex carbs --right now I'm on a melon kick--and protein. Boy do I feel great.

With that said, it will be a cold day in hell before I give up my coffee and I'll take it with a little sugar please....that is brown sugar. Before the invention of splenda I used white sugar. Then I used Splenda, but for fears of chemical additives I gave that up too. Now I use a little good old fashioned brown sugar. :::NOT SUGAR IN THE RAW::: just plain ol' brown sugar.

Dont forget the half and half.
