The Farmers Wife

Its a sad day. The Farmers Wife closes this Wednesday until next spring. I moved back to the area about 1.5 years ago and it was then that I rediscovered the Farmers Wife. I have many memories of going there with my mom when I was little. The ladies who own and operate the little stand located on the corner of Winding Way and Hackberry are as sweet as summer strawberries. I will miss them all winter.

Note: They will open for a month the day after Thanksgiving to sell Christmas tree's.

Even the Sunday market downtown has dropped dramatically in size. Though it will remain open all year. Unlike you, I'm bummed about the seasonal change. It's a lot harder to eat low fat (at least for me) in the colder weather.
