Weekly Menu, October 14th

Not everything I cook photographs well, although everything I photograph tastes really good (not everything I cook is worth posting--but the things that are, I try to remember to take a picture of and post). I hope this picture captures how great this fajita was. It rocked. The tortilla makes the meal. I can't tell you in writing how much better a hand made local tortilla tastes. yum. heavenly. Up until very recently you could only get these tortilla's at the Farmers Market, but now you can get them at Bel Air/Raleys too. I made a special trip just for these and I will go back at the end of the week for more when I make the tacos.

Fajitas
Sliced Green peppers
Sliced Onions
Sliced Tomatoes
Penzeys* Fajita spice
Grilled Tri Tip --sliced thin
I used the slicer on the food processor to get a super thin cut on both the veggies and meat. I sauteed the veggies with some butter until soft. Added the spice. Put it all together and voila. yum, yum, yum.
