I'm not saying that you have to drink margarita's in order to be happy--just that these incredible margaritas might add to your happiness.
These are the best margaritas. I made my first heavenly margarita at home after reading an article on MSN.com about the "best margarita" in San Fransisco. It looked surprisingly simple, and the three ingredients are staples in my home--SCORE!
I made watermelon margaritas for 4th of July...so great...I love fresh fruit mixed with alcohol. My cousin Abra, soaked fresh pineapple in tequila for 24 hours and then added it to her pitcher of margaritas.
Here's the original recipe (this makes one margarita):
2 oz. 100% agave tequila
1 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. agave syrup
To make fresh fruit margaritas, pour the ingredients into the blender with whatever fruit (to taste) and pulse for 15-30 seconds. Pour over ice. If you like yours less sweet, adjust the amount of the agave syrup. Organic Avage Syrup can be found at Trader Joe's as well--$2.99.
Also I would like to give a plug for the Trader Joe's label tequila--it's great...similar to Patron only half the cost.

I love a good margarita - always on the rocks. They do help in the pursuit of happiness.
I love a good margarita -- especially when the weather is steamy! Can't wait for local watermelons so that we can give that concept a try!
Hope you're recovering from the weekend, slowly but surely!
This 4th we had a very special margarita recipe brewing: 1 part frozen limeade, 1 part Corona, 1 part tequila, 1 part soda water.
It's surprisingly good!

Good to know! I just bought TJ's tequila without having tried it. Thanks, Amanda.
