Brussels Sprouts

I have a deep love of the Brussels Sprout. Often overlooked or under appreciated, Brussels Sprouts can be very tasty when roasted and topped with butter, red pepper and garlic...but then again what's not?

Here's Kid #1 pretending he's a rock star...he's got some crazy hair going so why couldn't a sprout double as a guitar? Wild times at my house.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients
Sprouts
add to taste:
Minced or crushed garlic
Olive oil or melted butter
Salt and pepper (I like red pepper flakes)

Put oven rack in upper third of oven and preheat oven to 450°F.
Toss Brussels sprouts lightly with olive oil or melted butter, garlic, salt, and pepper, then spread out in 1 to 2 layers in a large baking pan. Roast, stirring occasionally, until tender and browned, approx 25 to 35 minutes.

I'm totally late in coming... but I've got to tell you how fabulous that shot of your son with the brussels sprouts is!! Priceless.

We totally love buying brussels sprouts on the stalk from the farmer's market... can't beat that level of fresh.

Oooh, that sounds SO good. I love Brussels sprouts, but I'm the only one in my family who does.
