Having spent countless hours with my feathered family, I "get" life as a chicken. I am drawn to chickens and they are drawn to me. It's either my delightful personality, or my big 'ol hair... it does resemble a nest.
A few months ago, I was elated to see a motley crew of wild chickens appear in my pristine neighborhood. It was quite a sight.
Look at the face of the guy on the left.
Here's the back view...this guy has got some serious game.
But it was this moment, earlier today, that sealed my fate as the "Chicken Whisperer". To my surprise, a group of three chickens appeared at my doorstep. I immediately grabbed some random grains from the cupboard and my camera. We sat and bonded for a bit, and then this little gal walked on up and started pecking away at the food in my hand. We had a moment...she knew that deep down inside I'm just another hen living in a rooster coop.

You are talented in many ways Amanda, but this might be your calling!

the title alone had me roaring but then when I read your story....too much!! Beautiful chickens! Did you take one home for dinner by chance?
Hahaha the chicken whisperer, love it!
It was a little twisted...I was baking their long lost cousin at the same time I kanoodling with the chickens in the frontyard.
Amanda -- these guys are absolutely adorable. SO jealous.
I'm adoring the chicken whisperer bit.
