Bread Crumbs

What do you do with the leftover heels of bread? I don't waste a thing. I freeze them until there are enough to make a decent batch of bread crumbs.





Simply put the bread into the food processor with your desired herbs.

Today I used some garlic powder and thyme.








In no time you have.....




Awesome bread crumbs.

I used to use my bread heels to make bread crumbs. But now we have chickens in our backyard and they LOVE bread - so they get to eat it. Hmmm...now that I mention it, it doesn't seem quite fair :-) They can have my vegetable peels instead@
